Key ResponsibilitiesSite Engineering Duties:
- Supervise day-to-day site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor and coordinate subcontractors’ works, resolving technical issues on site.
- Ensure compliance with project schedule, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Conduct inspections and prepare site reports, daily progress logs, and site measurements.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
Quantity Surveying Duties:
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) from drawings and specifications.
- Assist in tendering, procurement, and cost control processes.
- Verify subcontractor invoices, variations, and claims.
- Monitor project budgets, track material usage, and minimize wastage.
- Support in preparing interim payment applications, final accounts, and cost reports.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS-related software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar).
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Minimum [3–5] years of experience in a similar role (preferably in [commercial/residential/infrastructure] projects).
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards, and authority requirements.
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
