Site Engineer cum Surveyor

Site Engineering Responsibilities
1.Planning & Execution

• Supervise day-to-day piling activities (bored piles, driven piles, micro piles, shoring, diaphragm walls depending on project).
• Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors for smooth workflow.

2.Technical Execution

• Monitor drilling, casing installation, reinforcement cage preparation, concreting, tremie operations, and pile closure.
• Ensure proper alignment, verticality, and required pile depth is achieved.
• Verify soil strata according to geotechnical report and confirm founding level.
• Assist in solving site issues with practical engineering solutions.

3.Quality Control

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements for piles (slump tests, concrete cube sampling, bentonite density, logging sheets, etc.).
• Inspect reinforcement cages, welding, spacers, cover blocks, and pile toe cleaning before pouring.
• Maintain proper pile records and checklists (daily pile report, pile log, drilling record).

4.Safety Management

• Ensure all piling activities follow HSE standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper PPE use at site.
• Report any unsafe practice and enforce corrective measures
• Set out pile locations using total station and GPS as per approved layout.

5.Monitoring & Measurements

• Monitor verticality and deviation of pile during drilling.
• Conduct as-built surveys after completion of piling works.
• Update survey data in CAD files and submit to the engineering team.

6.Documentation

• Maintain survey reports, coordinate files, and daily logs.
• Prepare as-built drawings for piles and submit to consultant/QA/QC team.

7. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with consultants for inspection requests (IRs) for pile borehole, reinforcement, and concreting.
• Communicate with suppliers for concrete scheduling, bentonite, casing, etc.
• Attend progress meetings and prepare daily/weekly site reports.

8. Project Management Support

• Assist in preparing BOQs, pile quantity estimates, and material requirement lists.
• Support in preparing method statements and risk assessments for piling activities.
• Track progress and ensure timely completion of piling as per program schedule.

9. Additional Responsibilities (as required)

• Resolve technical issues related to machine positioning, rig access, or site constraints.
• Ensure proper housekeeping around the piling area.
• Verify the removal of temporary casing and confirm pile head levels after cutting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
