- Fire Fighting Systems( FFS):
- Inspect, test, and maintain fire fighting equipment, including sprinklers, pumps, extinguishers, and hydrants.
- Monitor and ensure the operational readiness of water supply systems for fire suppression.
- Repair and replace faulty components in fire fighting systems, such as valves and pipelines.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that all systems comply with local and international fire safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain records of testing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Coordinate with fire safety auditors and inspectors during safety audits.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
- Regularly evaluate the condition of systems to predict and prevent failures.
- Team Collaboration:
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and assist in training programs.
- Work closely with contractors and third-party service providers for specialized repairs and upgrades.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to system malfunctions or failures, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Assist in emergency drills to test the functionality of fire systems and train personnel.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering fields.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance of fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
- Proficiency in handling different brands for fire alarm systems and [e.g., FM200, Novec, sprinkler systems] for fire fighting systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
- Hands-on experience with tools and software for fire alarm diagnostics and configuration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) or equivalent.
- NFPA Certification for fire fighting systems.
- Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
