Site Engineer — Fit-Out (UPDA Registered)

About the role
We seek a hands-on Site Engineer with fit-out experience and UPDA registration to supervise interior finishing works across commercial and residential projects in Qatar. Responsible for on-site execution, quality, safety and coordination to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day fit-out activities (partitions, ceilings, joinery, MEP finishes, flooring, glazing, painting).
• Read and implement construction and shop drawings; ensure compliance with specifications and approved samples.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site labour; manage manpower and resources.
• Monitor programme progress, prepare daily reports, progress photos and as-built records.
• Conduct quality inspections, create snag lists and ensure timely rectification.
• Raise and follow-up on RFIs, variation claims and material approvals.
• Enforce HSE procedures and ensure safe site practices.
• Attend client/consultant/site coordination meetings and resolve technical issues.

Minimum qualifications & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction/Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid UPDA registration (mandatory) — please include UPDA number on application. If you hold an equivalent Qatar engineering registration, state it.
• 3+ years’ site engineering experience in interior fit-out projects.
