Site Engineer (Interior Fit-Out Projects)

*Please Note: Candidates with fit-out experience will only be preferred.

Position Overview:
The Site Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day execution and supervision of interior fit-out works at the project site. The role focuses on site coordination, quality control, and ensuring works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. This position reports to the Project Engineer / Project Manager and does not handle overall project planning or budgeting.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities related to interior fit-out works.
• Ensure construction is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate on-site work sequences to ensure smooth progress of activities.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained.

Coordination on Site

• Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, and site workers for task execution.
• Liaise with designers, consultants, and Project Engineer for clarifications on drawings and details.
• Assist in resolving minor site issues and escalate major concerns to the Project Engineer.

Technical Support (Site-Based)

• Interpret drawings and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report them promptly.
• Assist with material inspections and ensure materials used meet project requirements.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site safety procedures.
• Conduct routine site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Report unsafe practices and support corrective actions on site.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site records, including work progress and manpower reports.
• Assist in preparing site-related documentation such as inspection requests and work completion reports.
• Provide regular updates on site progress to the Project Engineer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of site experience, preferably in interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and site procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
