Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Engineer specializing in marble and granite works to oversee installation and finishing activities on-site. The role involves supervising the execution of stone cladding, flooring, countertops, and other natural stone applications, ensuring high-quality workmanship, timely completion, and compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Supervision
• Oversee and coordinate the installation of marble, granite, and other natural stone materials for flooring, wall cladding, countertops, stairs, and decorative features.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
• Inspect and verify stone materials (type, thickness, finish, edge profiles, and color match) before installation.
• Manage cutting lists, marking, and layout to minimize wastage and optimize installation efficiency.
• Quality Control
• Monitor and maintain quality standards for stone fixing, polishing, sealing, and finishing.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on-site (leveling, alignment, joint finishing, adhesives, grouting).
• Ensure correct usage of adhesives, sealants, anchors, and fixing systems according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with designers, consultants, project managers, and suppliers regarding stone selection, approvals, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, masons, and labor teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Report progress, issues, and site updates to the project manager regularly.
• Planning & Safety
• Plan daily site activities, allocate resources, and maintain work schedules.
• Ensure all safety protocols and site regulations are followed during cutting, handling, and installation of stones.
• Manage site storage, protection, and handling of marble and granite materials to avoid damage.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain records of daily work progress, material consumption, and labor productivity.
• Assist in quantity take-off, measurement sheets, and billing support.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marble & granite works for construction/interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of natural stones, cutting techniques, polishing, adhesives, and fixing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Hands-on knowledge of installation methods for floors, walls, countertops, and decorative features.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
