Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Site Engineer specializing in steel construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that structural steel erection, welding, and bolting activities are executed safely, on schedule, and strictly in accordance with approved structural drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Management & Execution

• Supervise the daily erection of structural steel frameworks, ensuring alignment, plumbness, and structural integrity.
• Coordinate lifting operations and crane logistics, ensuring all heavy lifts comply with approved lifting plans.
• Verify pre-erection conditions, including checking the setting out, leveling, and positioning of anchor bolts and cast-in plates.
• Direct subcontractors, riggers, welders, and steel erectors to ensure maximum productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Interpret structural drawings, fabrication details, and 3D models (e.g., Tekla or AutoCAD) to resolve on-site technical queries.
• Liaise closely with fabrication workshops to track the delivery of steel members and ensure they arrive in the correct sequence.
• Report progress, material shortages, and technical clashes directly to the Project Manager.
• Monitor welding and bolting processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and international codes (e.g., AISC, AWS, or Eurocode).
