Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer – Steel Structure to manage and supervise on-site steel structure works. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of UAE experience in steel structure projects and strong technical knowledge in fabrication, erection, and site coordination. This role requires hands-on supervision, quality assurance, and strict adherence to safety and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site steel structure construction activities, including subcontractors, fabrication, erection, and installation works.
• Inspect daily site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Provide technical guidance to subcontractors on steel erection methods, sequencing, and construction procedures.
• Ensure quality assurance through proper inspection, testing, and implementation of approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Monitor and enforce site HSE and Q policies, ensuring safe work practices at all times.
• Identify and rectify safety violations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented immediately.
• Coordinate material availability including structural steel, bolts, welding consumables, tools, and lifting equipment.
• Assist in project planning, preparation of layouts, shop drawings, and coordination with design and engineering teams.
• Support project management in subcontract administration, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Arrange and conduct safety inductions and task-specific training for workers and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily site reports and submit progress updates to the Project Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in steel structure projects (mandatory).
• Strong hands-on experience in steel fabrication, erection, welding, and bolting works.
• Sound knowledge of UAE construction standards, safety regulations, and QA/QC practices.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and method statements.
• Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and site supervision skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-rise, industrial, or commercial steel structures
• Knowledge of lifting plans and erection methodologies
• Strong communication and reporting skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Experience:

• UAE: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Dubai Municipality Certificate (Preferred)
