Overview:
S2 Global is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to implement, maintain, and support deployments of our CertScan platform. As part of our systems engineering team, you will design and develop scalable, maintainable, and highly available network architectures that align with business objectives and service level agreements (SLAs).

The SRE ensures the stability and integrity of the data transmission network infrastructure, enabling seamless service delivery to our customers. This includes planning, designing, and developing LANs and WANs, as well as supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Responsibilities:
  • Deploy regional LANs, WANs, and wireless networks (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs) with redundancy and recovery procedures.
  • Analyze network performance, troubleshoot issues, and independently implement repairs.
  • Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, mappings, processes, and service records.
  • Manage and maintain network configurations with proper documentation and adherence to process.
  • Automate repetitive tasks (e.g., deployments, scaling, infrastructure management) to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems.
  • Forecast infrastructure resource needs to support anticipated traffic and load.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring systems and alerting mechanisms.
  • Respond to incidents and coordinate with teams for rapid resolution.
  • Work closely with customer IT teams to meet compliance and design standards.
  • Assess network state against industry best practices and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain policies for network administration, utilization, and disaster recovery.
  • Interact with vendors and contractors to procure network products and services.
  • Support hardware/software upgrades and new equipment deployments.
  • Ensure connectivity and performance of all networked systems and appliances.
  • Maintain network asset inventory and documentation using CMDB.
  • Conduct network and security audits and ensure backup/recovery procedures.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in networking and network security (VPNs, enterprise routing, L3–L7 switching).
  • 2+ years in enterprise network design and implementation.
  • 2+ years in firewall/switch technologies.
  • 1+ year in MPLS or VPLS network design.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Monitoring Systems (e.g., SolarWinds), Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Hyper-V, VMware.
  • Experience with Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, NetApp, EMC, HP Storage, MinIO.
  • Familiarity with AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Programming/scripting in Python, Go, or Java.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Datadog.
  • CI/CD pipeline development and management.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • ITIL Foundations v3
  • CCNA, CCDA, CCDP, CCNP
  • Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent industry certification

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work on-call as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple field locations.
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, SOX).
