Site Safety Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale construction project valued at $100M+. This individual will work as part of a dedicated safety team on night shift, providing documented site audits, contractor oversight, and risk management support—particularly across MEP scopes of work.

The ideal candidate brings strong general contractor or construction management experience, hands-on field presence, and the ability to review and authorize Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities.

This position reports to the Lead Safety Manager and will be trained on project-specific inspection and documentation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform documented site audits and safety inspections in accordance with project requirements
  • Monitor contractor compliance with project safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Review, improve, and/or authorize JHAs for MEP scopes including:
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical piping/HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Oversee high-risk activities and provide real-time safety coaching
  • Participate in contractor pre-mobilization meetings (preferred)
  • Support incident investigations and assist in development and tracking of corrective actions
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with complex MEP installations
  • Collaborate with Safety and project leadership to maintain consistent safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager
  • Previous titles such as Safety Supervisor, Safety Manager, or Safety Professional
  • Experience supporting projects valued at $100 million or greater
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing MEP scopes of work
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Ability to work night shift as part of a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Owner’s Representative safety oversight experience
  • Experience participating in contractor pre-mobilization meetings
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical construction environments

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is a proactive, field-oriented safety professional who is comfortable holding contractors accountable, reviewing complex JHAs, and identifying risk within high-value MEP installations. They bring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to function effectively within a structured safety team environment.

Must be willing to work nightshift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
