Site Safety Manager

We’re currently seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to join our team. This leadership role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient construction site operations while fostering a strong safety culture across project teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Site Safety Manager, you’ll take ownership of safety management across assigned construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing on-site safety operations, ensuring full compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Conducting daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Leading site safety orientations for all new workers.
  • Preparing and maintaining thorough daily safety reports and logbooks.
  • Investigating incidents or near-misses and preparing comprehensive documentation and corrective action plans.
  • Coordinating with project management teams and designated Competent Persons to ensure all safety standards are met throughout the workday.
  • Collaborating with Area Project Managers and Area Safety Managers on safety planning, reporting, and compliance tracking.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a proactive, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented safety leader with the following qualifications:

  • Valid Site Safety Manager license issued by the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) required.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction site safety management.
  • Completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health course (29 CFR 1926).
  • Possession of a valid 62-hour Site Safety Training (SST) card.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NJ Building Code, and NYC Fire Code.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction, design, and engineering documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
