Responsibilities:

Safety Consulting Services is seeking experienced Safety Managers in Syracuse, NY to oversee safety operations on commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe.

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and owner safety policies.
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Work with frontline supervisors to develop daily Job Hazard Analysis
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
• Daily safety audits and inspections
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
• Oversee jobsite safety for multiple types of trade contractors.

Qualifications:

• Direct construction safety experience required
• OSHA 30 Hour for Construction
• BCSP certification a plus.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Pay Range: $35-$55/hr with significant OT available. Local candidates are ideal but per diem may be available. Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
