Overview:
This role is dedicated to a single job site in Hoboken and will be responsible for overseeing all daily field operations from mobilization through completion. The ideal candidate is local to Hoboken or the surrounding area and able to be on-site daily. Once job is complete, we are timelining out more jobs in the Hoboken area for tenant construction, fit-outs.
Responsibilities:
- Field Operations & Crew Management
- Manage all day-to-day jobsite operations for the Hoboken project
- Safety and cleanliness
Construction Execution & Quality Control
- Oversee construction from mobilization through completion
- Ensure:
- Quality workmanship
- Safety compliance
- Schedule adherence
- Budget awareness
- Conduct routine site walks and enforce company standards
- Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions
Coordination with Project Management & Clients
- Work closely with Project Managers to align scope, schedule, and budget
- Assist with:
- Client communication
- Scheduling coordination
- Documentation and reporting
- Support execution of:
- Change orders
- RFIs
- Submittals
- Communicate site conditions and progress clearly and consistently
Materials, Equipment & Logistics
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure proper staging of materials
- Maintain an organized and efficient jobsite
- Monitor equipment usage and report issues
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
- Conduct safety meetings as required
- Immediately address and escalate unsafe conditions
Reporting & Job Cost Awareness
- Track job progress and support cost awareness
- Assist with project reporting and coordination with management
Qualifications:
- OSHA Certification (required)
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or Lead Foreman
- Must be local to Hoboken, NJ or surrounding area
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality workmanship
- Create and maintain short-term schedules
- Maintain a daily jobsite log and report progress to Project Management
- Make real-time adjustments to keep the project on track
- Step into hands-on or Foreman-level responsibilities when needed
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
