Site Supervisor – Aluminum & Glass Works

Job Summary

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supervising all on-site activities related to aluminum and glass installation works, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and to STEEL DISTRICT’s quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in aluminum systems, and the ability to coordinate with clients, main contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Supervision

· Supervise daily installation works for aluminum doors, windows, sliding, bifold systems, curtain walls, shower enclosures, handrails, balustrades, and related glass works.

· Ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

· Plan daily tasks and allocate manpower efficiently.

Quality Control

· Monitor workmanship and ensure all installations meet STEEL DISTRICT quality standards.

· Conduct regular checks for alignment, operation, sealing, and finishing.

· Prepare and close snag lists prior to handover.

Team Management

· Lead site teams, including fitters, helpers, and subcontractors.

· Ensure discipline, productivity, and proper use of tools and materials.

· Provide on-the-job guidance and training to improve team performance.

Coordination & Communication

· Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and clients on site.

· Attend site meetings and report progress, issues, and requirements to management.

· Ensure site measurements and site conditions are properly communicated to the factory.

Safety Compliance

· Enforce PPE usage and adherence to site safety rules at all times.

· Ensure works are carried out in a safe manner in compliance with UAE safety regulations.

Material & Logistics Control

· Request and manage delivery of materials to site.

· Ensure proper handling and storage of aluminum profiles, glass, and accessories.

· Minimize damage and wastage.

Progress & Reporting

· Update daily progress and manpower reports.

· Support preparation of handover documents and DLP follow-ups.

· Identify risks or delays and propose corrective actions.

Driving & Mobility

· Travel between multiple sites as required.

· Support urgent site visits, inspections, and coordination using company vehicle if assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 10 years of experience in aluminum & glass installation works in the UAE.

· Proven experience supervising site teams for doors, windows, facades, curtain walls, and glass works.

· Valid UAE driving license is required.

· Diploma or technical qualification in construction, mechanical, or civil works is preferred.

Technical Skills

· Strong knowledge of aluminum systems (sliding, bifold, swing, curtain wall, shower systems).

· Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and site layouts.

· Skilled in alignment, glass fixing, sealing, and hardware adjustment.

· Familiar with European systems (Alumil, Technal, etc.) is an advantage.

Soft Skills

· Strong leadership and people management skills.

· Good communication in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).

· Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.

· High sense of responsibility and ownership of site results.

Physical & Work Requirements

· Ability to work on active construction sites and at heights.

· Willingness to work extended hours when required to meet deadlines.

· Comfortable working in outdoor conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month
