Job Title Site Supervisor - Mechanical / Electrical
Location Chennai (Full-time on-site)
Role Overview
Responsible for the direct coordination of labor and subcontractors at the
station level. This role ensures that MEP installations (Electrical, Mechanical,
and Firefighting) are performed safely and in accordance with approved
technical drawings.
Core Responsibility
Labor Coordination: Leads and manages a competent team of technical staff,
foremen, and workers on the station site.
Execution Oversight: Monitors day-to-day installation activities to ensure
compliance with tender specifications and Employer’s requirements.
Safety Implementation: Enforces occupational health, safety, and
environmental (OHS&E) programs at the work front.
Progress Tracking: Reports daily site progress and any technical hurdles to the
Site Engineer or Construction Manager.
Material Management: Monitors the use of materials on-site to minimize waste
and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Qualifications Needed
1. Educational Background
Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) is
mandatory.
2. Professional Experience
Total Career Span: Minimum 7 years of professional work experience.
Similar Experience: Minimum 4 years specifically in supervising large-scale
E&M or metro station projects.
Project Nature: Proven track record in supervising MEP works in complex
infrastructure environments.
3. Key Competencies
Technical Supervision: Hands-on expertise in supervising HVAC, firefighting,
and electrical system installations.
Communication: Ability to fluently communicate instructions to the workforce
and provide updates to the engineering team.
Site Discipline: Strong ability to maintain site control and emergency response
readiness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
