Job Summary:

The Technical Engineer plays a key role in managing technical activities from project estimation to execution support. These includes reviewing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, conducting site visits, supporting clients and the sales team, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

· Estimation and Tendering:

· Analyze architectural drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for ceramic and porcelain tile supply and installation.

· Request and evaluate supplier quotations for special materials or custom requirements.

· Coordinate with the sales team to develop competitive bids and technical submittals.

· Assist in preparing project proposals, quotations and method statements.

· Technical Support and Coordination

· Provide product technical data, application guidelines and installation advice.

· Address technical queries from clients, consultants, and internal teams.

· Coordinate with designers, contractors, and consultants on material selection and specifications.

· Support procurement by verifying technical compliance of materials and samples.

· Site Visits & Supervision

· Conduct pre-installation site visits to evaluate conditions and ensure feasibility.

· Attend site meetings to represent Granitech on technical matters.

· Monitor installation progress, ensure adherence to approved methods and specifications.

· Resolve on-site technical issues and coordinate with installation teams or subcontractors.

· Report findings, deviations, and solutions to the Project Manager.

· Documentation and Reporting

· Maintain accurate project documentation including site reports, drawing updates, and inspection records.

· Update project tracking sheets and assist in preparing handover documentation.

· Ensure all materials and methods comply with local building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.

2. Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in construction, building materials, or technical estimation.

3. Familiarity with ceramic and porcelain tile standards, installation practices, and site conditions.

4. Strong technical interpretation skills (drawings, specs, BOQs)

5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools.

6. Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
