SKILLED MAINTENANCE WORKER

Full Time/Part Time Regular Full Time Total Hours Per Week 40 From Salary To Salary

Job Summary: Responsible for general maintenance as requested by Plant Manager; repairs walls by plastering, spackling and painting; provides plumbing and electrical repairs; replacement of windows and tile repairs; general carpentry work.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for general maintenance of Agency sites.
• Skilled in repairing walls and ceilings using sheetrock, plaster, spackling and painting.
• Skilled in providing minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Skilled in the installation, repair, and replacement of windows, doors, tile work, cabinetry, and drop ceilings.
• Skilled in providing repairs to household appliances
• Assist in the general overall needs of the department as directed
• Assist in other areas / facilities when requested.
• General knowledge of maintenance and construction trades.
• Ability to interact with and complete assignments in a manner sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  
  

Education & Experience

• High School Graduate
• Minimum of 5 years maintenance and / or construction experience.
• A valid, non-restricted driver’s license required.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to carry and lift moderate loads (50 lb. max.)
• Must be able to travel independently.
