Job Opportunity: Skilled Fabricator / Welder (MIG/TIG) – Marine Industry

Location: Cooney South, Holton Heath (near Bakers Arms Roundabout)

Cooney South specializes in the design and manufacture of high-end, bespoke stainless steel and aluminium fabrications for the superyacht sector. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabricator / Welder with expertise in MIG and TIG welding, specifically in Aluminium and Stainless Steel.

The Role:
As a Fabricator / Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling components from detailed drawings, ensuring the highest quality standards throughout. You will work on premium marine-grade materials, delivering exceptional results in line with industry requirements. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and has a passion for producing top-tier products.

Key Responsibilities:

• MIG/TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminium components to precise specifications.
• Fabrication from technical drawings, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to industry standards.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Working efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ensuring stringent quality control at every stage of the fabrication process.
• Meeting or exceeding efficiency targets, with the potential to earn additional bonuses.

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least 2 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding, preferably within the marine industry.
• A positive, can-do attitude, with strong motivation, enthusiasm, and a results-driven approach.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• A strong work ethic with a passion for delivering quality craftsmanship.
• Willingness to be flexible with working hours, including the possibility of overtime.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime available during busy periods, paid at an enhanced rate.

What We Offer:

• Competitive hourly rate.
• Efficacy Bonus: @ a basic of £15.50 p/h, with an efficiency of 100% £16.50 p/h can be achieved.
• 20 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays.
