Skip Driver - Full Time

Our busy Skip Hire team is looking for an experienced driver to help with day-to-day deliveries and collections across Preston, Lancaster, the Fylde Coast and villages in between.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience driving and operating a skip wagon is essential
• Confident working with minimal supervision
• HGV Licence (Class 2)
• Valid CPC
• Able to follow and adhere to company regulations and health and safety rules.
• Able to represent the business in the appropriate manner - maintaining good relations with customers and providing excellent customer service
• Have effective time management skills to meet specified delivery timescales and use software to update the office on your progress throughout the day
• Highly organised and have the ability to prioritise a changing workload
• General maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle, including daily inspections and reporting of defects immediately, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, both internal and external
• Take care of the environment while carrying out any duties
• Report accidents and near hits on appropriate company forms and as soon as reasonably possible
• Have a general knowledge of the local areas
• To do other duties as reasonably requested by Management (for which training will be provided as appropriate)

This is a full-time position, hours to be discussed, with flexibility required for early mornings/evenings.
