- 2 4 years of experience in Sleep lab medicine
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties License
- BLS certification

Job Purpose
Provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for sleep disorders.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Gathers and Analyze Patient Information
- Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient specific needs, and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or Medical Director and laboratory protocols.
- Complete and verify documentation.
- Explain pre testing, testing, and post testing procedures to the patient.
- Testing Preparation Procedures
- Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
- Perform appropriate physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary.
- Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
- Polysomnographic Procedures
- Follow procedural protocols (such as MSLT and MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc.) to ensure collection of appropriate data.
- Follow "lights out" procedures to establish and document baseline values (body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.).
- Perform polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study tracing quality to ensure artifact free signals and make adjustments if necessary.
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
- Implement appropriate interventions (e.g., continuous and bi level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.) for patient safety.
- Follow "lights on" procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (e.g., repeat calibrations and instruct the patient on completing questionnaires).
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Polysomnographic Recording Scoring
- Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
- Score clinical events (respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.) with hospital specific policies/protocols.
- Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
- Service Management and Professional Issues
- Comply with applicable policies/procedures/guidelines regarding safety and infection control.
- Perform routine equipment care, maintenance, and inventory evaluation.
- Maintain current life support certification.

- Supplemental Oxygen During Sleep
- Pulse Oximeter Trend Scoring
- NCPAP/BiPAP Subject Training
- Subject Education and Evaluation of Interviews
- Works according to the work schedule, including shifts & on call duties as assigned.
- May act as a preceptor to new employees and/or students/interns.
- Provide patient/family education related to health learning needs.
