SMALL EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

**Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, and small construction equipment, ensuring that they are safe and in good working condition. **Responsibilities**

- Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical problems.

- Perform heavy lifting and use hand tools to complete tasks.

- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair complex issues.

- Collaborate with other technicians to complete jobs efficiently.

- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the automotive industry.

- Work in a dealership environment, interacting with customers and sales staff regularly.

- Conduct diesel engine repairs and maintain knowledge of diesel engine technology.

- Utilize welding skills to repair and fabricate vehicle components.

- Perform service technician duties, including inspecting and maintaining vehicles.

**Requirements**

- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with vehicles.

- Experience working in a dealership environment or similar setting.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and use hand tools.

- Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals.

- Experience as a service technician or in a related field.

- Knowledge of electrical systems and diesel engine repair.

- Excellent sales skills, as the ability to upsell and promote additional services is important.

- Proficiency in welding and fabricating vehicle components.
