Smart Home Automation Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Home Automation Commissioning Engineer with hands-on experience in smart home and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in programming and commissioning KNX, Philips Dynalite, Lutron, Control4, and Savant platforms, with strong technical knowledge and outstanding problem-solving abilities.

You will be responsible for integrating, testing, and delivering high-end automation solutions for residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Program and commission KNX, Dynalite, Lutron, Control4, and Savant automation systems
• Install, configure, and test lighting control, HVAC integration, AV systems, IoT devices, and security interfaces
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide on-site technical support
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and project documentation
• Prepare system reports, programming files, and as-built documentation
• Conduct client handovers and provide user training
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Perform system updates, maintenance, and post-handover support as required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in home or building automation commissioning
• Strong proficiency in:
• KNX (ETS)
• Philips Dynalite
• Lutron (HomeWorks / QSX / RadioRA)
• Control4
• Savant
• Good understanding of IP networking (switching, routing, VLANs)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Official certifications in KNX, Lutron, Dynalite, Control4, or Savant
• Experience with multi-room audio, home theater, and AV integration
• Knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, and DALI protocols
• Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi or networking systems
