Smart Home Technician

Job Overview:

Homifi Smart Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Smart Home Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of smart home devices, network equipment, and automation systems across residential and small commercial properties. This role requires strong technical hands-on skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure smart home devices, including:

• Smart light switches, dimmers, and relays
• Motorized curtain tracks and blinds
• Smart intercom and doorbell systems
• IP/CCTV cameras and NVR setups
• Wi-Fi routers, mesh systems, and access points
• Mount, wire, and test devices in a professional, neat, and safe manner
• Ensure seamless integration with platforms such as Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Matter-compatible systems
• Perform basic network configuration: IP addressing, port forwarding, SSID setup
• Conduct site visits for installation readiness, cable routing, and device positioning
• Laying/Pulling RJ45 cables, crimping, and terminating
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues onsite or remotely
• Maintain documentation of installations and settings for each project
• Assist with firmware updates and future upgrades as needed
• Educate clients on how to use and manage their smart home systems

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in smart home systems, ELV, home automation, or IT/network installation
• Strong understanding of Wi-Fi and IP-based devices
• Experience with brands such as Sonoff, Aqara, Hikvision, Unifi, TP-Link, etc.
• Familiarity with mobile apps and smart home ecosystems (Apple, Alexa, Google)
• Ability to work with tools, ladders, testers, and safely handle electrical connections (low voltage)
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring
• Excellent attention to detail and professional presentation
• Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
• UAE driving license
• Fluent in English

Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):

• Basic scripting or experience with automation platforms (e.g., Home Assistant)
• Experience in PoE-based camera/NVR setups
• Apple HomeKit setup experience
• Good in Arabic

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
