The SME – Mathematics is responsible for designing high-quality math content, developing structured learning resources, strengthening pedagogy across grade levels, and supporting teachers to deliver concept-driven, competency-based Mathematics learning aligned with CBSE standards.
Develop detailed lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and practice modules.
Create question banks, HOTS (Higher-Order Thinking Skills) problems, and Olympiad/enrichment content.
Align all content with CBSE, NEP 2020 guidelines, and competency-based learning frameworks.
Design activity-based mathematical learning experiences.
Conduct teacher training on conceptual clarity, pedagogy, and problem-solving methods.
Support teachers with instructional planning and differentiation strategies.
Lead content review meetings and ensure uniform academic standards across classrooms.
Review math assessments for grade-appropriateness, and alignment with learning outcomes.
Provide feedback on evaluation practices and ensure consistency in marking.
Analyse student performance data and recommend improvement strategies.
Integrate visual models, manipulative's, technology tools, and digital platforms to deepen understanding.
Design learning modules that strengthen reasoning, logical thinking, and real-world math application.
Create remedial and advanced learning pathways for diverse learners.
Maintain structured curricular documents, scope and sequence charts, and competency mapping.
Ensure alignment with CBSE guidelines, NEP 2020, and school-wide academic policies.
Master’s Degree in Mathematics (M.Sc Mathematics).
B.Ed mandatory.
3–6 years of experience
in teaching or content development as SME.
Strong conceptual clarity and deep knowledge of CBSE math curriculum.
Expertise in Mathematics for middle and senior grades.
Strong curriculum design and academic writing skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts and enhance conceptual understanding.
Strong communication, presentation, and training skills.
Familiarity with digital math tools, simulations, and ed-tech platforms.
Collaborate with curriculum heads, teachers, and academic coordinators.
Conduct academic audits and training sessions as required.
Commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous academic improvement.
