Job Description
- Responsible for complete programming of pick-n-place machine by importing CAD generated files into HLC software and load in pick-n-place machines. Responsible for the accuracy of pick-n-place program created and approved for production release.
- Manipulate and optimize Pick-n-place programs and identify lines and machines to use.
- Monitor and continuously improve the accuracy and quality of pick-n-place programs by being present on the production line and validating the accuracy of the program on the initial production run.
- Complete DFM analysis of new boards and recommend layout changes for improved manufacturability.
- Perform all duties described efficiently to meet quality requirements of product and meet production and customer deadlines.
(experience with JUKI and SAMSUNG SMT machines a plus). ______________________________________________________________________
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate SMT pick-and-place machines for assembly of printed circuit boards;
- Load and verify parts onto the machine as per program;
- Tend to machines by quickly and efficiently loading/replenishing feeders with reels, tubes or trays of components, entering programs into automated placement machinery, setting up support fixtures and prepping the assembly line for the next job;
- Troubleshoot pick-n-place machine errors and correct them.
- Ability to calculate coordinates and rotation angles.
- Discuss best practices with team lead and check production notes from previous builds.
- Record job information and any build issues on job tracker program.
- Monitor and maintain equipment; Follow preventive maintenance procedures and schedules to meet company standards;
- Operate re-flow oven, inspection scope and stencil printer including setup and tear down per established procedures;
- Reliably produce quality workmanship consistent with IPC-A-610 standards;
- Responsible for quality inspection and documentation;
- Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.
Required Qualifications:
* At least 2 years SMT assembly experience;
* Familiar with structured BOMs, assembly drawings, build instructions and kit identification;
* Capable of troubleshooting problems when running the machine;
* Work well independently and in a group setting;
* Basic electronic component identification skills;
* Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
* Basic knowledge of Windows based computers, MS Word and Excel;
* Strong aptitude for electronic and mechanical assembly practices with an attention to detail;
* Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and deadline oriented;
* High school diploma or GED.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
