Salary: $12 plus tips

Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within a fast pace in the food/ bar area of the Casino. Job includes completing guest transactions, cleaning the food and stock area, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory. Performing all other responsibilities as directed by the Bar Manager.

Must be at least 21 years of age to work in the Snack and Bar area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Operate cash register and receives payment from guest cash or credit card, accurately count and provide change to guest as required
• Cleans and stocks work area
• Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed
• Receives inventory, moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by Bar Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent Guest Service
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Must have cash handling skills as well as basic math knowledge
• Pass and maintain a TIPS bartender certification
• Be able to supervise other employees or bar staff when needed.
• Must be 21 years of age to mix and serve drinks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work exposure to noise, flashing lights, secondhand smoke, and varying temperatures.
• This position operates in a casino environment, which includes exposure to noise, crowds and secondhand smoke.
• Fast-paced environment requires constant attention to guest service and team coordination.
• Varying work schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays depending on operational needs.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeaner in compliance with the company policies and guest service standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and use of computers and office equipment.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
