Job Overview
As a Loader Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects. Your expertise in operating heavy machinery will be key to efficiently moving materials and supporting various tasks on-site. You’ll work closely with a dynamic team, contributing to the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

What you’ll do

• Operate various heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes to move materials efficiently on construction sites.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate loading and unloading of materials from trucks and other machinery.
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites as needed, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Support other operators and tradespeople as required, fostering teamwork and communication on-site.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, backhoes, and excavators in a construction environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery effectively.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred for operating trucks including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with concrete mixer operations and Caterpillar machinery is a plus.
• Previous experience in construction site settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime as needed based on project demands.
