SNOWFLAKE LEAD DATA ENGINEER/ARCHITECT

Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Snowflake Lead Data Engineer / Architect with 14–20 years of expertise in architecting and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms on the cloud. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives, define modern data architecture patterns, optimize Snowflake environments, and mentor teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions. The role demands a strategic mindset, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to translate business goals into robust data architecture frameworks

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the cloud-based data architecture strategy using Snowflake across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Design scalable data models, medallion architectures, and governance frameworks for analytics, BI, and advanced data applications.
• Lead modernization and migration of legacy data warehouses to Snowflake, ensuring best-in-class performance, security, and reliability.
• Oversee development of data pipelines (ELT/ETL) using Airflow, dbt, Informatica, or Matillion, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
• Implement and enforce data security, governance, and cost optimization strategies across all Snowflake environments.
• Drive automation through Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD with DevOps integration.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to align data architecture with organizational data strategy.
• Guide and mentor a team of data engineers, providing architectural direction, code reviews, and best practice standards.
• Establish observability frameworks to monitor pipeline performance, SLAs, and data quality metrics.Stay ahead of industry trends to evaluate and integrate emerging tools and technologies.

Education/Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Snowflake certifications — SnowPro Core and SnowPro Advanced Architect strongly preferred.
• Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP, Data Engineering, or DevOps (Terraform/Kubernetes) are an added advantage.
• Exposure to Data Governance, MDM, and Data Catalog frameworks is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹625,070.08 - ₹2,589,372.18 per year
