SOAP DETERGENT PLANT MANAGER FOR SOMALILAND EAST AFRICA

Urgently looking for experienced Experienced soap / chemical plant manager with at least 5 yrs of experienced.

Responsible for overseeing the entire production process of soap bars, liquid detergents, or fatty acids. They ensure that production goals are met efficiently, safely, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets, customer demands, and inventory levels are met.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and decrease production costs.
• Coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance with the engineering team to minimize downtime.
• Hire, train, and manage production supervisors and operators; conduct performance evaluations and foster a motivated workforce.
• Create and manage annual budgets, track KPIs (like OEE), and prepare performance reports for senior management.
• Monitor raw materials (fats, oils, chemicals) and finished goods inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong preference for experience in the soap or detergent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of soap-making processes, formulation, and manufacturing machinery.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Proven ability to lead large teams, manage unionized employees (if applicable), and drive continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
