Social & Community Manager (Contract)

Pakt is a community-driven travel gear brand built for people who care about design, function, and the experience of the journey.

What started as a cult-favorite collaboration has grown into a design-led travel brand with a passionate global following. We’re a small, ambitious team based in Bozeman, Montana, and we care deeply about thoughtful design, responsible production, and helping people travel better.

Now we’re looking for someone to help bring that energy to life across our social channels.

The Role

We’re hiring a Social Media Manager to help shape and grow Pakt’s presence online.

This is a collaborative, high-impact role focused on strategy, posting, engagement, experimentation, and community building. You’ll work with our internal team and creative partners to turn launches, products, stories, and customer conversations into social momentum.

You won’t be expected to shoot or edit content yourself. Instead, your superpower is knowing what to post, when to post it, how to grow engagement, and how to build a brand people want to follow.

We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for strong instincts, curiosity, consistency, and someone excited to help build something meaningful.

What You’ll DoOwn Our Social Presence

  • Manage Pakt’s social channels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms
  • Plan and execute how existing content is distributed around launches, promotions, seasonal themes, and community moments
  • Help shape the content calendar and guide what content we should be creating more of
  • Be the voice of the brand inside our private Facebook group and subreddit
  • Respond to DMs and comments (or route customer service questions appropriately)
  • Thoughtfully engage with other brands, creators, and communities to increase visibility

Help Guide the Content

You’ll collaborate closely with our internal team, designers, and content partners to help ensure the content we create is:

  • on-brand
  • high-performing
  • community-driven
  • optimized for growth

Core content themes include:

  • Travel Better — packing tips, airline hacks, smart carry systems
  • Travel Inspiration
  • Elevated Design & Product Details
  • Behind the Scenes of a socially and environmentally responsible brand

Cadence & Success Metrics

Expected cadence

  • Daily weekday engagement
  • Minimum of 2 posts per week

What success looks like

  • Healthy follower growth
  • Stronger engagement and community interaction
  • Increased traffic to PaktBags.com
  • Better ROI from social efforts
  • More repeatable content wins

We’re looking for someone who understands that great social is both creative and measurable.

Who You Are

  • Deeply familiar with all major social and video platforms
  • Proven track record of building and growing engaged social channels (personal, freelance, or brand)
  • Proactive and comfortable owning channels end-to-end
  • Excited to build something, not just maintain it
  • Strong instincts around what content performs and why
  • Comfortable using data and engagement signals to guide decisions

Bonus if you:

  • Love travel and thoughtful product design
  • Understand e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands
  • Enjoy turning community conversations into content ideas
  • Have worked with founder-led or design-forward brands
