At Healthy Gamer, we think modern mental health care should be inclusive and affordable. Our coaching service has helped over 13,000 people across 77 countries since it launched in November 2019. Our movement is gaining traction, putting us in the top 0.1% of Twitch streamers and the top 1% of YouTube channels. And we’re working on even more resources to help people find a way forward when they need it.
We’ve made an impact in the gaming community, but that’s not where our mission ends. We want to change how people think about and deal with mental health, and we’re looking for passionate people to help us get there. Project Description
We’re looking for a creative, hands-on
Social Media Content Producer
based in the Houston area to help refine and scale our short-form video content. This role is focused on pitching, filming, and producing short-form content, as well as editing and distributing that content across our social platforms. This role will play a key part in expanding our social reach and impact this year, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position.
Scope Of Work
The Social Media Content Producer will be responsible for the following tasks:

Pitching, scripting, and recording high-quality short-form content for social media

Repurpose long-form content, streams, and raw footage into short-form video (clips, teasers, memes, and trend-based edits) and graphic assets (static/carousels) for social media posts.

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, social media culture/speak, and best practices for different social media platforms.

Promptly creating on-trend content (Ex: using popular audios on TikTok when appropriate)

Collaborating with our team to ensure that the content is consistent with our brand messaging and voice.

Incorporating feedback from our team and stakeholders to improve the quality and effectiveness of social content.

Writing and editing captions, headlines, and descriptions for social media posts as needed, ensuring they are engaging and optimized for each platform.
Qualifications

3-5+ years of proven experience creating short-form social media content, for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Strong video editing and design skills, with proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, CapCut, or similar software.

Demonstrated ability to repurpose long-form content into engaging short-form clips, memes, and social graphics that are optimized for platform performance.

Deep understanding of current social media trends, internet culture, and platform best practices, with the ability to quickly translate trends into brand-aligned content.

Experience writing engaging captions and headlines tailored to different social platforms.

Ability to work quickly and manage multiple content projects in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.

Collaborative mindset with experience incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Must be able to confidently operate mobile filming equipment and set up/use wireless microphone systems for recording high-quality audio.

Portfolio or examples of social media content demonstrating creativity, storytelling, and platform fluency.

Timeline
The project will be for 3 months, after which point the contract can be renewed/extended.
Payment
$25-45/hour
20-35 hours per week
