THIS IS A VOLUNTEER POSITION
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Social Media Marketing Manager dedicated to animal rescue initiatives. This role involves developing and executing compelling digital marketing strategies to raise awareness, increase engagement, and promote adoption efforts for our animal rescue organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and content creation techniques to effectively tell our rescue stories and foster community relationships.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts that align with branding and campaign goals.
  • Utilize SEO best practices and keyword research to optimize content for search engines and increase organic reach.
  • Manage social listening tools to monitor online conversations, respond to comments, and engage with followers to build community relationships.
  • Oversee social media advertising campaigns using Facebook Advertising and other paid promotion tools to maximize outreach.
  • Analyze web analytics and social media metrics using Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, and other tools to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Coordinate with public relations teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Maintain a content calendar for timely posting of updates on rescue stories, events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Proofread all content for accuracy, tone, and professionalism before publication.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers or create visual assets using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Manage relationships with partners, volunteers, donors, and community members through social media platforms to foster ongoing support.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media marketing management within nonprofit or animal rescue sectors preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design and video editing.
  • Experience with Facebook Advertising campaigns and e-commerce integrations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEO techniques, Google Analytics, web analytics tools, keyword research, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent content creation skills including photography and video editing.
  • Strong understanding of public relations principles and relationship management on digital platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data insights to optimize campaigns effectively.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills with attention to detail in messaging consistency.
  • Passionate about animal welfare with a commitment to promoting rescue efforts through innovative digital storytelling.
