Marketing Manager (Full‑Time, Partially On‑Site — Upstate SC)

Own the growth engine for The Junkyard. We’re a high‑energy, community‑first fitness brand in the Upstate of South Carolina. We move fast, we serve hard, and we’re scaling. We’re hiring a Marketing Manager who can set the strategy and run the plays—from social to site, email to ads, and everything in between.

What You’ll OwnSocial Media (Instagram & Facebook)

  • Set the multi-location social strategy tied to offers, events, and growth targets.
  • Plan and maintain the content calendar end‑to‑end (concept → draft → approval → publish).
  • Oversee daily publishing and community management (DMs, comments, reposts) in brand voice.
  • Proactively source creator/influencer partners and manage ambassador collaborations.
  • Track channel performance and turn insights into weekly action.

Google Presence

  • Respond to reviews across locations with brand‑tight voice.
  • Update listings for hours, photos, services, and seasonal changes.
  • Submit monthly performance reports with improvement recommendations (ranking, reviews, local SEO wins).

Website (Wix)

  • Update homepage monthly to reflect current offers/events (think Barry’s‑level polish).
  • Ensure SEO, analytics, tags, pixels, and conversions are accurate and firing.
  • Ship monthly web performance report with KPI insights & action plan.

Email & SMS

  • Plan, build, and launch all campaigns and automations; keep offers and need‑to‑know items current.
  • Maintain clean lists/segments; track deliverability, opens, CTR, and conversions.

Paid Ads (A→Z)

  • Own Meta & Google Ads planning, budgets, creative, testing, and reporting.
  • Stand up measurement: UTMs, events, lead routing, and ROI analysis.

Studios & Events

  • Attend and document all major events.
  • Capture weekly content in every studio; rotate dayparts for diverse client representation.

Cadence & Standards (Non‑Negotiables)

  • Weekly content calendar built, approved, and published on a consistent rhythm.
  • Daily community management with timely responses.
  • Campaigns, site updates, and offers launched on schedule.
  • Monthly Google & Website performance reports with clear next‑month plan.
  • Measurable progress against KPI targets (lead gen, conversion, SEO, channel growth).

Key Outcomes (Your Scorecard)

  • Channel Health: 100% on‑time posting & SLA compliance; steady growth in reach, saves, and profile taps.
  • Lead Gen: Measurable lift in intro‑offer and first‑class sign‑ups; decrease in time‑to‑first‑class for new followers.
  • Conversion: Email/SMS CTR and opt‑in health trending up; paid ads CAC at/under target; clear ROAS reporting.
  • Local SEO: Review volume & rating up; visibility gains on priority searches; consistent GBP updates.
  • Content Ops: Clean, repeatable workflow in Monday.com; assets organized and easy for the team to use.

Tools You’ll Use

  • Instagram, Facebook, IG Stories/Highlights, Reels
  • Monday.com (content calendar & approvals)
  • Wix (site), Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console
  • Google Business Profile (reviews & updates)
  • Email/SMS platforms (e.g., Mariana Tek/LoyalSnap or similar)
  • Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads
  • Canva/Adobe Suite, CapCut (or similar video tools)
  • Google Workspace

What You Bring

  • 2–5+ years in multi‑channel marketing with hands‑on execution.
  • Strong copy, visual eye, and short‑form video instincts.
  • Confidence in analytics, tagging, UTMs, and funnel reporting.
  • Experience running Meta & Google campaigns end‑to‑end.
  • Comfortable on camera and on the floor capturing content.
  • Organized, deadline‑driven, and calm under speed.

Nice‑to‑Haves:

  • Fitness, hospitality, or multi‑location brand experience.
  • Influencer/ambassador program management.
  • Basic design chops (Canva/Adobe) and light video editing.

Logistics

  • Location: Primarily will be a remote position with weekly site visits to all of our studios as well as attendance to our events.
  • Schedule: Full‑time; some evenings/weekends for events and key launches.
  • Compensation: Competitive base + performance bonus tied to KPIs.
