Job Title: Marketing Manager

Division: St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Greater St. Cloud)

Job Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for the areas of Social Media, Marketing, Brand Design, Grants, and Website updates.

Essential Job Duties- Position requirements include but are not limited to the following:

Social Media – Visit Greater St. Cloud

1. Builds and executes social media strategy and goals through competitive research, platform determination, audience identification, messaging, and benchmarking.

2. Generates, edits, publishes and shares daily content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages the audience to take action.

3. Leads with creativity and staying on brand while leveraging industry trends.

4. Creates editorial calendars and syndication schedules.

5. Develops, implements, and tracks special campaigns.

6. Analyzes social data/metrics to ensure that marketing goals and objectives are being met.

Marketing

7. Acts as the office liaison when working with advertising and production agencies.

8. Sets the direction for brand strategy, brand consistency, special campaigns, and overall direction, along with the Executive Director.

9. Orders, coordinates, creates, and implements advertising media as required by the annual Marketing Plan for the CVB.

10. Conceptualizes and designs marketing ads and reviews with the staff before placement.

11. Designs and executes a monthly email newsletter for the leisure market and works with the sales team to design and execute a quarterly events email newsletter.

12. Coordinates with the publishing company of the St. Cloud Area Visitor Guide for the execution of the annual magazine.

13. Develops and creates relationships with travel writers/influencers/journalists to generate positive media coverage and perform hosted trips.

14. Manages digital assets with the information specialist.

15. Creates and distributes press releases for major news, awards, and events to local and state media. Manages media inquiries, interview requests, and destination management coverage alongside the Executive Director.

16. Works with the sales team to execute marketing efforts for conventions, sporting events, and CVB-hosted events.

17. Supports the sales team and the office at events as directed. These events could include occasional nights and weekends.

Grants

18. Coordination of Explore Minnesota Grant program.

19. Works with the sales team regarding grant requirements as it relates to the annual marketing plan.

20. Coordination and submission of the annual grant application.

21. Monitors grant programs and submission of payment requests by required due dates.

22. Prepares grant paperwork for annual audit.

24. Monitors online and mobile sites to include upgrades, updates, and content management.

25. Manages SEO and analytics.

26. Strategizes and implements promotion of website through online and social media channels to drive increased usage.

27. Updates and creates content for the Visit Greater St. Cloud blog to be used in monthly communications and on social.
