Job Summary
We are a compassionate and empowering childbirth education center and doula agency dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Our mission is to provide evidence-based education, inclusive support, and a nurturing community for growing families. This is a remote position where people can make their own hours, applicant must live in Western North Carolina ideally Asheville. There will occasionally be some assignments that will take place in person at our office or vendor events.

We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and heart-centered Social Media Manager to help us share our message, grow our community, and elevate our digital presence across all platforms.

We’re seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to lead our brand’s online presence! In this dynamic role, you will develop innovative content strategies, manage multiple social media channels, and foster meaningful relationships with our community. Your creativity and analytical skills will drive brand awareness, boost engagement, and support our overall marketing goals. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with brand objectives, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts that resonate with target audiences.
  • Monitor social media channels and optimize campaigns in real-time.
  • Conduct social listening to gather insights on audience preferences, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform content planning.
  • Utilize SEO best practices and keyword research to enhance content visibility and improve search engine rankings.
  • Engage actively with followers by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely manner while maintaining a positive brand voice.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in social media marketing, digital marketing strategies, e-commerce integrations, and emerging platforms.
  • Create engaging posts, stories, and videos that educate and inspire expecting parents and families.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands or organizations; familiarity with social media management tools.
  • Must have experience with perinatal health care, birth work, doula care, or perinatal education.
  • Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Canva, newsletters, or Meta Business Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok trends, analytics, and engagement strategies.
  • Compassionate, inclusive mindset with sensitivity toward diverse family experiences and identities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Excellent written communication skills with an eye for proofreading and creating compelling content tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship management skills to engage with followers, influencers, media contacts, and internal teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing trends including branding strategies, e-commerce integrations, photography fundamentals, video editing techniques, and web analytics tools.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 5 per week
