Job Title: Social Media and Marketing Manager
Location: A Thousand Tales, Mount Prospect, IL (On-site preferred)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional weekend photoshoots with advance notice)
Pay: $24–$28 per hour + performance-based bonuses

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to plan, create, and manage engaging content across Instagram — including posts, stories, and reels — while maintaining a consistent and elevated brand presence.

This role requires someone who is both creative and organized, capable of capturing content, designing promotional materials, and contributing ideas that support growth in events, catering, and daily business.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and publish Instagram content (posts, reels, stories) consistently
• Capture photo and video content of food, guests, events, and daily operations
• Design flyers, graphics, and promotional materials using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
• Maintain a cohesive visual identity and brand voice
• Collaborate with management on campaigns, promotions, and announcements
• Assist with content planning for holidays, events, and special launches
• Monitor engagement and flag important messages or leads
• Support occasional photoshoots or special projects (with advance notice)
• Contribute ideas to improve visibility and growth (SEO knowledge is a plus)

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing social media accounts professionally (required)
• Strong skills in Canva, Photoshop, or similar design platforms
• Experience creating engaging short-form video content (Reels)
• Strong eye for aesthetics, photography, and storytelling
• Organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with SEO or digital marketing strategy
• Personal camera/video equipment or a newer iPhone
• Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or lifestyle brands
