Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Ecommerce Marketing Specialist with strong expertise in SEO, Google Search Console, social media marketing, and Shopify to own and execute our digital marketing strategy. This role will focus on increasing organic traffic, optimizing product visibility, growing our social media audience, and driving direct e-commerce revenue through targeted campaigns. You'll work closely with the team to promote our solar panels, home batteries, solar generators, and related products to environmentally conscious consumers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Shopify store for conversions, including product page SEO, site speed, user experience improvements, meta tags, alt text, schema markup, and on-page elements.
- Own Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics — monitor performance, identify crawl/indexing issues, submit sitemaps, track keyword rankings, analyze search queries, fix errors, and implement strategies to boost organic visibility for high-intent solar and energy storage keywords.
- Develop and execute SEO strategies (technical, on-page, off-page) to improve rankings for competitive terms in the solar, renewable energy, and home battery niche.
- Lead social media marketing across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) — create engaging content (reels, posts, stories, carousels) highlighting product benefits, promotions, customer testimonials, solar savings, and educational content on clean energy.
- Plan and run paid social campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads) and organic growth initiatives to acquire new customers and retarget site visitors.
- Collaborate on email marketing and SMS campaigns (e.g., Klaviyo or similar) to nurture leads, promote flash sales, and drive repeat purchases.
- Monitor competitors in the solar e-commerce space, identify trends, and recommend new product/content opportunities.
- Track KPIs including organic traffic, conversion rate, ROAS, customer acquisition cost (CAC), engagement metrics, and revenue attribution — report weekly/monthly with actionable insights.
- Assist with content creation: blog posts, product descriptions, landing pages, and video scripts focused on solar education and product value.
- Support promotions, seasonal campaigns, and bulk/wholesale inquiries (e.g., solar panel pallets).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce marketing, preferably in niche or high-ticket products (solar, home improvement, electronics, or renewable energy a big plus).
- Proven expertise with Google Search Console — comfortable analyzing performance reports, fixing issues, and using it to guide SEO decisions daily.
- Strong SEO knowledge (keyword research, technical audits, link building basics, Core Web Vitals, E-E-A-T principles). Tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar.
- Advanced Shopify experience — theme customization, apps (SEO, reviews, upsell), product feed optimization for Google Shopping.
- Social media marketing proficiency — organic growth + paid ads on Meta platforms, Instagram Reels/TikTok video content creation and strategy.
- Analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics 4, Shopify Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and other tracking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — able to create compelling copy for ads, product pages, emails, and social posts.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the solar, clean energy, or home battery industry.
- Familiarity with Google Merchant Center, Google Ads (especially Shopping/Performance Max), or email platforms like Klaviyo.
- Basic graphic/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite).
- Knowledge of renewable energy incentives, rebates, or solar terminology.
