Social Media Assistant (Part-Time | NYC-Based Preferred)

We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Social Media Assistant to support the growth of a personal brand across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

This is not a passive role. We need someone who is on top of things, communicative, and detail-oriented — someone who takes initiative without needing to be chased.

What You’ll Do

• Capture high-quality photo + video content
• Edit short-form content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
• Assist with YouTube video editing
• Create and update media kits / influencer decks
• Pitch to brands and manage outreach
• Track trends, algorithms, and platform updates
• Plan content calendars and schedule posts
• Support content strategy + creative direction
• Assist with PR events and event coverage when needed
• Provide weekly updates on progress, analytics, and deliverables

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication skills (this is non-negotiable)
• Highly responsive and reliable
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Strong understanding of social media trends + aesthetics
• Comfortable taking initiative and owning tasks
• Experience with content creation + editing tools
• Interest in fashion, beauty, and luxury content is a plus

Compensation

• $15/hour
• ~8–10 hours per week (potential to grow to 15–20 hours based on performance)
• Paid biweekly

Commission Structure (Brand Deals)

In addition to hourly pay, you will earn commission on brand partnerships you help secure:

• $900 or less → 5%
• $1,000 – $2,000 → 7%
• $2,000 – $3,000 → 10%
• $3,000 – $5,000 → 12%
• $5,000+ → 15%
