Job Description:
Akari Hair is a premium, luxury Raw Hair brand launching an exclusive drop this July. We are looking for an independent, aesthetic-driven, and highly motivated Social Media & Brand Content Specialist based in the Charlotte area to join our team for the summer launch phase.
This is not a task-delegated partnership; this is a CEO-led startup operation. You will report directly to the Founder to translate raw creative concepts into premium, luxury digital assets. We are looking for a proactive creator who speaks "tech and trends" fluently and can execute high-end visual authority without needing step-by-step hand-holding.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Content Production: Film and edit high-gloss vertical content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Threads, and Pinterest) that reflects a premium, minimalist luxury lifestyle.
- Asset Capture: Independently capture professional-looking photos and videos of raw hair bundles ("texture checks" and "luster checks" in natural light), the Founder (lifestyle/business vlogs), and brand ambassadors/local stylists.
- Autonomy & Strategy: Take raw ideas, themes, and goals from the CEO and build organized 14-to-30-day content calendars, script engaging hooks, and execute countdown hype cycles for product drops.
- Event Support: Attend content planning sessions, creative syncs, and local Charlotte pop-ups or events to capture live production footage.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Location: Hybrid/Remote. Must have reliable transportation to travel to South End, Uptown, and Mallard Creek for in-person creative syncs and production days.
- Equipment & Tech Requirements: * If you do not have a professional camera, you must own a high-tier iPhone(iPhone 13 Pro or newer preferred). Professional cameras are welcome, but not required.
- Must own a personal laptop/MacBook for fluid editing, cloud file management, and quick AirDropping.
- The Standard: Professional results are mandatory. You must know how to use an iPhone to shoot clean, high-gloss, expensive-looking visual assets for a luxury brand.
- Software Stack: Native proficiency in mobile editing apps (e.g., CapCut, Canva, Lightroom Mobile) and platform management (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest). I handle the brand; you must handle the software stack independently.
- Professionalism: High level of punctuality, strong communication skills, an eye for luxury aesthetics, and the ability to work completely independently while the CEO is operating remotely.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Schedule: Part-time, bi-weekly rhythm (every other week). Approximately 9 hours total per pay period (typically split into 2 active days during the work week: one day dedicated to filming/content creation, and a second day for planning, reviewing, and editing remotely).
- Pay: Strict, fixed flat rate of $85.00 every two weeks. This is a firm, non-negotiable startup launch budget for the summer phase.
The Ideal Candidate Profile: Who You Are
- The Visionary Executor: You don't just wait for a checklist. You listen to my raw, 1-sentence creative ideas, instantly understand the high-end vision, and turn them into finished, luxury assets without needing me to hold your hand.
- The Aesthetic Alchemist: You know how to make content look like an expensive, high-gloss editorial shoot. Whether you are utilizing a professional camera setup or a high-tier mobile device, you understand lighting, framing, angles, and clean luxury aesthetics natively.
- The Ground-Floor Builder: You aren't looking for a quick, one-time summer gig. You are motivated by the challenge of building a luxury brand architecture from the absolute ground floor up and want a career-defining launch on your resume.
- The Self-Managed Professional: You are highly disciplined and exceptionally punctual. Whether we are shooting live at a Charlotte pop-up or keeping the content pipeline moving while I am managing top-level strategy remotely from Howard, you run your schedule flawlessly.
Job Type: Part-time, Temporary / Summer Contract Location: Hybrid remote in Charlotte, NC 28262
Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per week
