Social Media Content Creator

MTN RIPS — Asheville Mall

MTN RIPS is looking for a creative, reliable Social Media Content Creator to help grow our local trading card shop brand across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.

We are a new and growing Pokémon, sports card, and TCG shop focused on building a fun, active, community-driven card shop experience. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media trends, enjoys trading cards or collectibles, and can help turn everyday shop activity into engaging content.

Responsibilities

The Social Media Content Creator will help with:

• Creating short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
• Filming product drops, pack openings, shop updates, customer-safe store content, events, and tournaments
• Taking photos of inventory, displays, new arrivals, and promotional items
• Helping write captions for posts
• Scheduling or posting content as needed
• Creating content around Pokémon, sports cards, TCG products, card shop culture, giveaways, events, and live rip/trade moments
• Helping build excitement for inventory drops, launch events, and in-store specials
• Maintaining a consistent MTN RIPS voice online: fun, clear, community-focused, and trustworthy

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable filming and editing short-form content
• Understands TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook content
• Has a good eye for what makes content engaging
• Is reliable and can meet basic posting/content expectations
• Is comfortable being around customers and filming in a retail environment
• Has interest in Pokémon, sports cards, TCGs, collectibles, gaming, or hobby culture
• Can work independently without needing constant direction
• Is professional, respectful, and positive

Experience in trading cards is helpful but not required. Creativity and consistency matter most.

Requirements

• Basic video editing ability
• Ability to use a phone or camera for content creation
• Reliable transportation to Asheville Mall
• Good communication skills
• Must be comfortable working in a public retail environment
• Must understand customer privacy and avoid filming customers without permission

Schedule

Part-time and flexible. Hours may vary based on store needs, events, product launches, and content schedule.

Possible work may include weekdays, weekends, or event days.

Compensation

Pay based on experience and responsibilities. This may be structured as hourly, project-based, or part-time depending on the candidate.
