IADC Social Media Content Creator
Job Summary
This position is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining engaging and strategic content across IADC social media platforms to support institutional communication objectives and enhance public visibility.
Chain of Command and Coordination Authorities
1. Reports directly to the Chief, Strategic Communications, IADC. Receives guidance, direction and tasking from the Chief of Strategic Communications.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
· Manages and maintains IADC social media accounts; ensures content is current and aligned with institutional messaging
· Develops, creates, and publishes multimedia content (graphics, photos, videos, captions)
· Ensures content is accessible and adapted across the four main languages (Spanish, Portuguese, English, French) when required
· Coordinates with departments, faculty, and staff to gather content and highlight key activities and achievements
· Monitors social media trends and analytics to optimize engagement and improve content strategy
· Maintains a consistent posting schedule aligned with strategic communication goals
· Responds to comments and messages as appropriate, ensuring professional and timely engagement
· Ensures all content adheres to institutional policies, branding guidelines, and communication standards
· Assists in live coverage of events (real-time posting, stories, updates) when required
Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
1. Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures.
2. Capability to utilize Microsoft Office software and specific programs related to area of responsibility.
3. Ability to effectively work in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
4. Ability to plan and organize heavy workload and complete assignments in a timely fashion.
5. Capability to quickly handle short notice requirements and publish information in a timely manner.
6. Effective writing skills, including the ability to edit draft material.
7. Ability to follow instructions ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
8. Familiarity with strategic communication goals in order to effectively align content with leadership priorities.
9. Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, staff and members of the international community.
