Social Media Content Creator – Paint & Sip Studio (Creative Growth Role)

Are you the friend who’s always making the TikToks, catching the best Instagram moments, and knowing what’s trending before everyone else, especially in our local community?

We’re looking for a creative, social-media-savvy content creator to help grow our fun, high-energy art studio brand online. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys creating eye-catching graphics, capturing fun moments, and helping a local business stay visible and relevant in the community.

If you love filming fun moments, editing short-form videos, designing graphics that actually grab attention, and understand how to reach people locally, this might be your dream side gig.

This role is not about going viral nationwide - it’s about creating content that gets seen by people right here in our local community and gets them excited to come paint, celebrate, and have fun with us.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create fun, engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms
  • Capture photo and video content during classes, events, and in-studio moments
  • Edit short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) that fit current trends and grab attention
  • Create visually appealing, catchy graphics for upcoming classes & events using Canva
  • Set up and publish Facebook and Google events through the business platform
  • Post content consistently and strategically for the best reach and engagement
  • Help showcase both our paint & sip studio and our growing Splatter Room experience
  • Bring fresh ideas, creative energy, and a strong understanding of what performs well on social media -especially locally

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who genuinely loves social media and creating content
  • Experience using Canva (the website) to design clean, visually appealing graphics, or a strong willingness and ability to learn quickly is a must.
  • A good eye for design, layout, and what makes graphics stand out and catch attention
  • Understanding of social media trends and how to create content that reaches people in the local community
  • Comfortable filming in a live, upbeat event environment
  • Able to edit content quickly and make it feel fun, polished, and current
  • Creative, reliable, self-motivated, and excited to help grow a local brand
  • Bonus if you have examples of social content or graphics you’ve created (personal or professional)

A Note About Graphics & Design - Creating strong, visually appealing graphics is a very important part of this role. Our event images are often the first thing potential guests see, so they need to be clear, eye-catching, and professional-looking.

The hired applicant will have full access to our Canva account, brand templates, and social media platforms. We will provide guidance, direction, and examples—but we are looking for someone who can take that information and consistently produce graphics that look polished and engaging.

Compensation:

  • $600/month (paid twice monthly on the 1st & 16th)
  • Averages approximately 6–8 hours per week
  • One complimentary class or splatter room experience each month
  • Super flexible schedule
  • Real-world, hands-on marketing and content creation experience with a fun, growing local business

Why This Is a Great Opportunity:

This role is perfect for someone looking to build their portfolio, gain real small-business marketing experience, and have creative freedom in a unique environment that naturally creates fun, shareable content.

You’ll have the chance to experiment, create, and grow your skills while working with a team that values creativity, reliability, and personality. If hired, you’ll have full access to our Canva platform, brand templates, and admin access to our social media accounts so you can create and publish content efficiently. This role averages approximately 6–8 hours per week. If responsibilities or time requirements grow significantly, compensation will be reviewed and adjusted accordingly.

To Apply – Show Us What You Can Do (The Fun Part!)

We anticipate a lot of applicants, so we like to make the application process a little more creative, and honestly, more fun.

Rather than just telling us what you can do, we’d love to see it.

We’re asking each applicant to create a graphic & a short video/reel that features our brand and promotes something related to our studio, something we could realistically use right away for marketing.

Think of this as a mini real-world challenge:
What would you create if you were already on our team and needed to promote an upcoming class, event, or experience?

To do this, you are encouraged to:

  • Pull images and video clips directly from our social media pages
  • Use content you can find on our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or website
  • Create something that feels fun, eye-catching, and on-brand
  • Focus on content that would attract people in our local community
  • Show us your creativity, design style, and understanding of what makes people want to sign up.

We’re not looking for perfection—we’re looking for creativity, effort, and a good feel and understanding for our brand and what we offer.

What to Submit:

Please email us:

  • Your resume
  • A brief note on why you feel you would be a good fit
  • One original graphic & short video/reel created using our brand and content

Your submission should be something that:

  • Uses our brand and style
  • Is visually appealing and attention-grabbing
  • Could realistically be used for marketing right away
  • Shows that you understand our audience and the type of fun experience we offer

You’re welcome to use Canva, your own editing tools, or anything else you prefer. If hired, you will have full access to our Canva account and brand templates.

Helpful Hint: The strongest submissions are usually the ones that look polished, easy to read, and exciting—something that would make someone scrolling social media stop and say, “That looks fun—I want to do that.”

Important Note About Submitted Content:

By submitting any images, videos, or creative content as part of your application, you grant Painting with a Twist – Downtown Colorado Springs permission to review, edit, share, and use that content for marketing and promotional purposes, whether or not you are selected for the position. Submission of content confirms that the work is your own and that you have the right to grant this permission.

PLEASE NO CALLS OR STUDIO VISITS AT THIS TIME. We plan to cut-off applications and start reviewing submissions by or before Friday April 24th & will reach out to schedule interviews the following week with those that fit what we are looking for.
