About LoCo Tri

LoCo Tri is a multisport specialty retail store in Leesburg, VA serving swimmers, cyclists, runners, and triathletes. We sit at mile marker 34 on the W&OD Trail — one of the most active endurance sports corridors in Northern Virginia — and our community is the heartbeat of everything we do. We need someone who can capture that community through a lens.

The Role

This is a pure content capture role — photography and videography only. You will be responsible for showing up, shooting, and delivering polished, ready-to-use photo and video files. Social media strategy, captions, scheduling, and posting are handled by our existing team. We are not looking for a social media manager. We are looking for someone who is excellent behind a camera.

This is not a remote position. You must be available to shoot in and around Leesburg, along the W&OD Trail, and at local races and events throughout Loudoun County.

What You'll Be Doing

• Shooting in-store product and lifestyle photography
• Capturing athlete and customer content on and around the W&OD Trail
• Filming short-form video content optimized for Instagram Reels and Facebook
• Covering local triathlons, cycling events, and running races
• Delivering edited, ready-to-use photo and video files on a consistent schedule
• Taking creative direction from our social media manager on shot lists and upcoming content needs

What We're Looking For

• A strong portfolio demonstrating videography and photography — specifically short-form video and lifestyle or sports content
• Proficient with your own camera equipment and editing software
• You deliver polished final files — raw footage and unedited photos are not acceptable deliverables
• Experience shooting sports, fitness, or outdoor lifestyle content is strongly preferred
• You don't need to be a triathlete, but you need to understand the aesthetic and respect the audience

You must be local. Leesburg, Ashburn, Sterling, Purcellville, or surrounding Loudoun County. Candidates outside this area will not be considered.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, up to 10 hours per week
• Hours vary based on content needs, events, and seasonal campaigns
• Weekend availability required during race season (spring and fall)
• Rate negotiable based on experience and portfolio — hourly or per-project
