Schedule: Flexible hours; some on-site time required for filming/content capture (1–3 short visits/week)
About Dojo Gelato
Dojo Gelato is a local, scratch-made gelato and coffee brand in Cincinnati—equal parts craft and community. We operate a year-round spot at Findlay Market, a year-round productino kitchen, a seasonal Northside shop (April–September), plus catering and events. We’re looking for a part-time social media person who can keep our content consistent and fun—without turning our vibe into a giant corporate marketing machine.
The Role
You’ll be our hands-on content maker and scheduler: 3–4 posts/week, regular Stories, and simple, authentic Reels that show what we do best (gelato, coffee, behind-the-scenes, staff energy, new flavors, Findlay Market and Northside retail vibes). We also want to restart TikTok with easy, repeatable content.
This is ideal for someone who’s organized, creative, and comfortable capturing short-form video and pictures in a real working environment.
What You’ll Do
- Create and post 3–4 pieces of content per week (mix of Reels, posts, and Stories)
- Capture content on-site: gelato pulls, toppings, affogatos, feature flavors, staff moments, day-in-the-life, etc.
- Edit short-form video (Reels/TikTok) using simple tools (CapCut, InShot, etc.)
- Maintain a light content calendar (weekly planning)
- Coordinate with the owner/manager for upcoming flavors, promos, hours, and events
- Repurpose content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok efficiently
- Engage lightly with the community (basic comment/DM awareness—no heavy customer service)
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent posting cadence (no dead weeks)
- Reels that feel authentic and “Dojo” (not overly polished, not cringe)
- TikTok restarted with steady, manageable output
- A simple system that makes content creation repeatable and sustainable
You’re a Great Fit If You
- Can shoot good-looking phone video and photos (lighting, framing, steady hands)
- Understand Instagram (Reels, Stories, trends, audio) and can translate that to TikTok
- Can edit short videos quickly and cleanly
- Collaborate with the owner and mangers to write captions in a playful, witty tone (and can keep it on-brand)
- Are dependable and self-directed (this role lives or dies on consistency)
- Are comfortable working around a busy food environment (and staying out of the way)
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Canva skills (basic design/layout)
- Experience with Meta Business Suite / Later / Buffer scheduling tools
- A basic understanding of what makes food content perform (hooks, cuts, pacing)
