We’re seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team of real estate communications specialists.
Position Overview
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who lives and breathes social media and wants to build a career at the intersection of real estate, PR, and digital storytelling. You’ll work closely with senior team members to manage and grow social media presence for a portfolio of leading real estate thought leaders and firms, contributing content ideas and helping translate client programs into compelling digital narratives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Support day-to-day management of client social media accounts across platforms
- Assist in developing and maintaining monthly content calendars
- Draft copy for organic posts amplifying earned media coverage, speaking engagements, events, award recognition
- Use Canva to create visuals to accompany select social posts
- Schedule and publish content using social media management tools
- Monitor comments, engagement, and community activity across accounts
- Follow up with clients to ensure they post the content Reiss Strategies delivers
Content Development
- Research real estate trends, news, and cultural moments to inform timely content
- Support the creation of presentations and recap decks for social programs
- Contribute fresh ideas in team brainstorming sessions
Reporting & Analytics
- Track engagement trends and flag opportunities for content optimization
- Maintain organized records of published content and campaign assets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience (internships count)
- Exceptional writing skills — clear, polished, and adaptable across brand voices and platforms
- Strong editorial instincts and meticulous attention to detail
- Genuine interest in business-to-business client work, including commercial real estate, and finance / professional services
- Familiarity with major social platforms and basic scheduling tools
- Working knowledge of Canva
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Based in the New York City area and willing to be in-office (FiDi) 2–3 days per week, plus ad hoc in-person client meetings
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000
- Annual performance bonus opportunity
