Social Media Executive

Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Junior Social Media Executive to support the development and execution of our social media strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for all things social media, a keen eye for engaging content, and a foundational understanding of digital marketing. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow a career in social media.

Key Responsibilities:

Content & Publishing:

  • Assist in the planning, creation, editing, and publishing of daily content (text, images, and video) across all major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok).
  • Schedule posts using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite) to ensure timely and consistent delivery.
  • Research and identify trending topics, relevant hashtags, and platform-specific content opportunities to increase brand relevance and reach.
  • Support the coordination of visual assets by collaborating with in-house or external designers and copywriters.

Community Management & Engagement:

  • Monitor all social media channels and actively engage with the online community by responding to comments, direct messages, and customer inquiries in a timely, professional, and on-brand voice.
  • Identify opportunities to participate in relevant online conversations to boost brand visibility and build relationships.
  • Moderate user-generated content in line with company guidelines.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Assist in tracking and reporting on key social media metrics (e.g., engagement rate, reach, follower growth) using platform-native and third-party analytics tools.
  • Collect and organize data to contribute to weekly or monthly performance reports.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends, sharing insights with the broader marketing team.

Campaign Support:

  • Support the execution of social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.
  • Assist in setting up, monitoring, and optimizing simple paid social media advertising campaigns (e.g., boosting posts), if applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience (e.g., internships, personal projects).
  • Up to 1-2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Strong working knowledge and active use of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to adapt tone-of-voice to different platforms.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to brainstorm fresh and engaging content ideas.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and monitoring tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Basic experience with content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or simple video editing apps.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 per month
