Social Media Executive

Job Summary
The Social Media Executive is responsible for handling all the social media activities in an online presence by creating engaging content, scheduling posts, interacting with followers, analysing performance, and staying on top of trends across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Meta, X and LinkedIn, aiming to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and support marketing goals.

The Social Media Executive will be executing digital campaigns and collaborating with design/marketing teams to ensure brand consistency and growth to create brand awareness, comprising ideating, coordinating, executing social media campaigns, promotions and advertisements.

Working closely with the marketing team, our marketing agency, partners, creative, and brand teams to align messaging and campaigns. Responsibilities include growing followers, improving content performance, running paid social (in some cases), and reporting on KPIs.

Core focus will be around the Baltimore/Maryland community and all aspects of professional, local and college sports within Baltimore and Maryland.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Develop and curate engaging content (copy, images, videos) for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand’s voice and goals.

Social Media Management

  • Manage day-to-day social media activities, including posting, community engagement, and responding to comments/messages in a timely manner.

Campaign Execution

  • Assist in the planning and execution of paid and organic social media campaigns to drive traffic, brand awareness, and engagement.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyse social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or native platform insights. Provide regular reports and suggest improvements.

Trend Monitoring

  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our content is fresh and engaging.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the wider marketing team, designers, and content creators to ensure cohesive social media campaigns.

Audience Growth

  • Develop strategies to increase social media followers, engagement, and brand visibility across platforms.

Qualifications Required

  • Proven professional experience in social media management for 3+ years.
  • Undergraduate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook) and analytics tools.
  • Experience in content creation, including photography, video editing, and graphic design.
  • Strong skills in interpreting data to inform strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. 

Preferred

  • Understanding the gambling industry.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SEO and how it integrates with social media strategy.
  • Passion for sports.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time role reporting to the Marketing Head of Data.
  • Remote role

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
