Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Video Intern to support our marketing team with short-form video content, social media projects and other marketing initiatives.
This part-time, in-office role is ideal for someone who enjoys brainstorming content ideas, capturing video, editing social media clips and helping bring marketing stories to life in a polished, engaging way. The primary focus of this position will be assisting with the concepting, shooting and editing of video content for social media, with opportunities to support graphic design and other marketing projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the concepting, planning, shooting and editing of short-form video content for social media platforms.
- Capture video content using mobile devices, DSLR cameras or other available equipment.
- Edit video content using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software.
- Help create polished video assets, including music selection, sound editing, captions, lower thirds, static graphics and basic motion graphics.
- Support social media content creation, scheduling and other miscellaneous social media projects as needed.
- Assist with one-off graphic design projects when applicable, such as digital or print marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that aligns with brand standards and campaign goals.
- Help with additional marketing projects and day-to-day team needs as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current student or recent graduate pursuing marketing, communications, video production, graphic design, digital media or a related field.
- Experience creating content for social media or digital platforms.
- Familiarity with CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with both is preferred.
- Basic motion graphics experience or interest in developing motion graphics skills.
- Strong creative instincts and an eye for engaging social content.
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Not necessary, but a big plus:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.
- Graphic design experience for digital or print materials.
- Photography skills.
- Familiarity with print production processes.
- Experience working with branded content or marketing campaigns.
