Social Media Marketing Intern (Remote)

Lela's House Bakery

Lela's House Bakery is a newly established cottage food bakery inspired by family traditions, homemade recipes, and the welcoming spirit of my grandmother, Amanda ("Lela"). As a growing startup business, we are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to help build our online presence from the ground up.

About the Role

As our Social Media Marketing Intern, you will play a key role in helping grow the Lela's House Bakery brand. You will receive photos, videos, and updates about our baked goods and will be responsible for transforming them into engaging content for social media platforms.

Selected interns will receive access to our social media accounts and will assist with content creation, scheduling, posting, and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule social media content
• Design engaging Instagram and Facebook posts
• Edit and publish reels and short-form videos
• Write captions and develop content ideas
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule
• Monitor comments and messages when needed
• Help increase brand awareness and community engagement
• Assist with seasonal promotions, product launches, and special announcements

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student, recent graduate, or individual with social media experience
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar tools
• Strong creativity and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Interest in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, business, or content creation

Internship Duration

This internship is designed to last approximately 3–4 months. Interns who successfully complete the program will receive a professional Letter of Recommendation recognizing their contributions to the growth of Lela's House Bakery.

Interns interested in continuing beyond the internship period are welcome to reapply for consideration.
