Social Media Intern (Content Creator)

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join Matcha & Co., a growing mobile matcha business based in College Station, TX. This paid internship offers hands on experience in content creation, social media management, and brand marketing across TikTok and Instagram. The ideal candidate is passionate about short form content, enjoys creating engaging social media posts, and is excited to help grow a fast paced lifestyle brand through consistent and creative online content.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging social media content for TikTok and Instagram, including videos, photos, carousels, and stories.
• Create and post at least 5 pieces of content per week across social media platforms.
• Attend weekend pop up markets and events to capture real time content and behind the scenes footage.
• Film customer interactions, product preparation, lifestyle content, and event highlights.
• Edit short form video content using CapCut or similar editing software.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and posting content on a consistent weekly schedule.
• Collaborate with the Matcha & Co. team to create content ideas aligned with brand goals and aesthetics.
• Organize and manage raw media files for future use.
• Monitor social media trends and contribute creative ideas for improving engagement and brand visibility.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program related to Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories, and short form content trends.
• Experience creating content for social media platforms.
• Basic video editing skills using CapCut or similar software.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet posting expectations consistently.
• Comfortable working in fast paced public event environments.
• Reliable, punctual, and available to attend weekend events.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to take feedback and apply it effectively.

Additional Information

• Part time position with up to 8 hours per week.
• Compensation is $15 per hour.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Paid trial period of 2 to 4 weeks before long term continuation.
